Logging into Moodle

You will probably find that many of your instructors will be using Moodle as a ‘go-to’ resource for your courses. Instructors will use Moodle in different capacities, varying from posting assigned readings and additional resources or having the course engage in online discussions, to delivering the course completely on Moodle for online courses. Be sure to pay attention at the beginning of the semester when your instructor reviews how they intent to use Moodle (if at all).

You will need your UNBC userID (userid@unbc.ca) and password to login into https://moodle.unbc.ca.

Step 1: In your web browser, type in the URL https://moodle.unbc.ca. The login button appears at the right corner of the navigation bar.
Click on: Log in.

Step 2: Sign in using your UNBC Email: userid@unbc.ca and press Enter/Return or click on: Next.

Step 3: Enter your UNBC password and press Enter/Return or click on: Sign in.

Step 4:  Approve sign in request by entering the number shown in the Authenticator app.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

https://moodle.unbc.ca requires you have a multi-factor authentication (MFA) app on your phone to complete your multi-factor login process.  Please refer to IT Support regarding multi-factor authentication at UNBC: https://unbc.teamdynamix.com/TDClient/87/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=2221 .
