What is Moodle?

Moodle is an acronym for Modular Object Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment, an open source Learning Management System (LMS). UNBC’s plarform is found at https://moodle.unbc.ca.

Moodle is software designed to provide both students and educators with a secure, and integrated platform. It incorporates a wide array of resources and activities to support teaching and learning at UNBC.

The Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Technology (CTLT) provides services, workshops, and programs to assist the UNBC teaching and learning with that range of instructional tools and techniques available at https://moodle.unbc.ca. Furthermore, the CTLT offers individualized support and consultation to faculty and staff.

The Academic Success Centre (ASC) offers scheduled and drop-in sessions to help students navigate https://moodle.unbc.ca and learn its key features, such as opening files, uploading assignments and posting to online discussions.
