F. John Dian is a faculty at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in Vancouver, Canada. He received his Ph.D. degree from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2004. Dr. Dian has more than 20 years of experience in design and implementation of telecommunication circuits and systems. Dr. Dian holds a certificate in business analytics from Harvard University, USA and co-chairs the center of excellence for analytics at BCIT. He has been recognized with several excellence in teaching and research awards. Dr. Dian is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and an active member of Association of Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (APEGBC).

 

Reza Vahidnia is a faculty at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in Vancouver, Canada. . He received his Ph.D. degree from Ontario Tech University, Oshawa, Canada in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2014.  He has served as a senior IoT analyst at Rogers Communications Inc., and an IoT project manager at TELUS where he worked on several smart city and IoT initiatives. Dr. Vahidnia is a professional engineer (P.Eng) and an active member of the Association of Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (APEGBC).
