Conclusion

Data are foundational to planning and the growth of a learning system. Adaptation and mitigation strategies need to work within the realities of a rural community. As system transformation unfolds in the coming years, data need to be adapted to support appropriate and sustainable rural healthcare and resilience to climate change and ecosystem disruption. Food security and water quality are just two key areas where relevant, timely, and accurate data could lead to more resilient responses to the challenges of climate change. Developing population catchments and making interactive maps accessible and informative is a promising way forward for rural communities.
