Accessibility Statement

We firmly believe that education should be accessible to everyone. This resource has been designed to support diverse learners and to reduce barriers to learning as much as possible.

We have endeavoured to ensure that this textbook follows Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA principles. Throughout the book, we have paid careful attention to structure, clarity, and consistency so that content is accessible to readers using different devices, assistive technologies, and learning strategies.

Accessibility features of this resource include:

  • Clear heading structure to support screen readers and easy navigation
  • Plain, learner-friendly language to reduce cognitive load
  • Consistent terminology across chapters and units
  • Short paragraphs and lists for improved readability
  • Logical progression of concepts, especially for beginner learners
  • Script explanations that prioritize recognition before production
  • Interactive activities (using H5P) designed to support multiple learning styles

Roman-letter representations are provided where appropriate to support learners who are new to the Devanāgarī script. Key script features and symbols are introduced gradually and reinforced through structured practice.
