29 カムイミンタラ　神々の遊ぶ庭　Playground of the Gods

ブリティッシュ・コロンビア州バーナビー市のBurnaby Mountain Parkに、この「カムイミンタラ」という彫刻がある。

アイヌの有名な芸術家、床ヌブリと、その息子の床州生が、1989年〜1990年にかけて作った。バーナビー市は、北海道の釧路市と姉妹都市になっていて、釧路市の近くにある阿寒湖にも、床ヌブリが作ったもう一つの「カムイミンタラ」がある。カナダの杉の木で作られた「カムイミンタラ」だ。

この作品はカムイと人間の物語を伝えている。ここに、山のカムイ（くま）、コタンのカムイ（ふくろう）、と海のカムイ（オルカ）が見える。小さい柱は人間を表している。

そして左側には、遠く西にある釧路市の方を向いているかけ橋がある。
