アイヌの文化と芸術 Ainu Culture and Arts

In this section, we look at traditional and contemporary Ainu cultural production and artifacts. There is a long and rich history of the creation of both intangible and tangible works of art and artifacts for everyday use and for ceremonial and aesthetic purposes. Today, artists, musicians, performers and craftspeople are creating new aesthetic and functional objects and works that meld traditional practices and patterns with their own contemporary interpretations and expressions in a vibrant art and performance scene.
