Chapter 6 – Talking about Location

Unit 3 — Conversations

Model Dialogues

These model dialogues help learners practise common classroom and campus interactions in everyday Nepali. The focus is on asking where people or things are using cha/chan, asking where things were using thiyo/thiyena, and identifying objects and ownership with patterns like yo ke ho? and yo kasko ___ ho?. The dialogues also reinforce polite classroom language (e.g., māpha garnuhos, dhanyawād), basic location words and postpositions (e.g., -mā, -muni, agāḍi, bhitra, najik), and respectful possessive forms (e.g., mero, tapāī̃ko, ___ko).

In the Classroom

Two classmates are in class. One student cannot find their things and asks for help.
