Accessibility Statement
We believe that education should be accessible to everyone. This resource has been designed to support diverse learners and to reduce barriers to learning as much as possible.
This textbook follows the principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Throughout the book, attention has been given to structure, clarity, consistency, and readability so that learners can use the resource across different devices, learning environments, and assistive technologies.
Accessibility features of this resource include:
- clear heading structures to support screen readers and easy navigation;
- plain, learner-friendly language to reduce cognitive load;
- consistent terminology across chapters and units;
- short paragraphs, lists, and tables for improved readability;
- logical progression of concepts, especially for beginner learners;
- gradual introduction of the Devanagari (dewanāgarī) script, with recognition and understanding developed before production;
- Roman-letter transliteration where appropriate to support learners who are new to the Devanagari (dewanāgarī) script;
- audio-supported dialogues and pronunciation practice;
- interactive H5P activities designed to support review, repetition, and multiple learning styles;
- structured practice activities that help learners build confidence step by step.
Key script features, symbols, vocabulary, grammar points, and communicative patterns are introduced gradually and reinforced through repeated practice. The book is designed so that learners can move through the material at their own pace, review earlier sections when needed, and use audio, transliteration, examples, and exercises to support their learning.
