Model dialogues
These dialogues model polite, natural conversation between classmates in a college setting. They help learners practise talking about family, asking and answering basic personal questions, and describing where someone is or lives. The dialogues use respectful forms like tapāī̃ and uhā̃ with polite verbs (hunuhuncha, basnuhuncha, paḍhnuhuncha). As you read and listen, notice the repeated question patterns—ko, kahā̃, ke, kun—and how Nepali expresses identity, location, and study/teaching. Use the dialogues to understand meaning, repeat key lines aloud, and then substitute your own names and family details for practice.
Family Photo
Two classmates are sitting in the student lounge after class. One student shows a Dashain family photo on their phone, and the other asks politely who the people are and where they live now.
