Chapter 3 – Identifying Objects
Unit 3 — Conversations
Model Dialogue
This model dialogue practises identifying objects using simple “what is this/that?” and “what are these/those?” questions. The dialogues highlight near vs. far reference (yo/tyo, yī/tī) and reinforce basic patterns with ho/hun, along with yes–no questions and short responses. Set in everyday classroom situations, these exchanges help learners build confidence naming and talking about common items around them.
What is this?
Two people identify nearby objects by asking and answering simple “what is this/that?” questions.
