Welcome.

This online, open human anatomy textbook was collaboratively created by the students of PHED 301 – Advanced Anatomy, from the Sport, Health and Physical Education (SHAPE) department at Vancouver Island University.

Each section was authored by students in the Spring of 2018. The content is intended to be a complete representation of the anatomy from each body region, and was synthesized from numerous sources. The images contained within (unless otherwise stated) are licensed under Creative Commons. Many of the images were generated using Complete Anatomy ’18, and were created with the permission of the company.

All material contained within, with the exception of this Welcome and the Introduction Section were completely student created. We hope you find it educational and entertaining.
